Harrison Gimbel 2010 PCA Main Event Winner
Gimbel was up against some seasoned players including Barry Shulman who took down the WSOP Europe recently. Shulman was a favorite to win and he went all-in several times at the final table but his luck ran out during hand number 134 and he hit the rail in third position with a $1.35 million paycheck.
Heads-up play was between Harrison Gimbel and Tyler Reiman. Reiman was in the lead with 28 million chips while Gimbel had 17 million chips but the situation changed drastically and Gimbel took the lead soon after they went heads-up.
The final hand was incredibly dramatic when Reiman put the money in with pocket eights to watch in horror as Gimbel turned his pocket tens. Gimbel flopped a ten for a set and that was it, the eight on the turn could not do much for Reiman at that point.
As young as Gimbel may be, he is no stranger to the game. He took down the Florida State Poker Championship last summer and he plays online as gibler321.
