Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan

On Monday morning two of the biggest titans of poker, Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan and Patrik Antonius met for one more session of the durrrr Challenge. This session lasted 342 hands, which is a short amount, but was still enough to increase durrrr’s vast lead.

Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan came out victorious in this session and managed to take his lead up to $1.76 million. The challenge is now at almost exactly 2/3 of the required 50,000 hands. The players have played a total of 33,242 hands. The players are playing 4 simultaneous tables of 200/400 PLO.

Patrik Antonius has been running bad lately, as prior to this encounter durrrr managed to win slightly over $1 million in the last matches. Some speculate that durrrr has already won the challenge as Patrik Antonius would need to win more than 26bb/100h if he wants to turn the tables in the remaining hands. However, this challenge has had so many swings that we cannot state that it will remain this way.

In case you forgot (and you are allowed to because this has taken so long already) if durrrr wins after 50k hands he gets $500,000, but if he loses, he has to pay Patrik Antonius $1.5 million.

Tom Dwan & Phil Ivey Play for Largest Pot on TV

Tom Dwan & Phil Ivey Play for Largest Pot on TV

During the past year it seems the online poker prodigy Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan has been involved in setting records for the highest pots played in online poker history, live poker history and now it is televised poker history.

At the last episode of Full Tilt Poker’s Million Dollar Cash Game professional poker players Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey got involved in a hand that would make history. The hand involved an incredible sum of $1,108,500 and made it the largest pot ever played in televised poker history.

Of course that to be the largest pot in televised poker history, an outstanding hand was involved. I will not tell you the details, but all I will say is that when Ivey looks at the cards he exclaims “Wow” and you can almost see a tiny bit of emotion in his face when he realizes what just happened.

Definitely this was a battle between two of the best poker players in the world and it is quite hard to decide who has the bigger edge to start with. I recommend that you take a look at the video for some good high stakes entertainment.
