I’ve got a story that will remind you that, if you live in the US, it is extremely important to check your state’s regulations on poker. In Michigan all forms of gambling are illegal unless they are for charity or organized by the state.

The Grand Rapids Poker Club interesting poker game was advertised to the public several days in advance so it was not hard for the police to track down this particular poker tournament. “They put out fliers, advertised on Craigslist and were trying to bring people in by telling them it was all legal.”

The police raided the game at the Kentwood Ramada Plaza Hotel and found that apart from illegal poker they had completely topless beautiful girls dealing out the cards. These girls were also hosting other forms of entertainment such as twister games and jelly shots in exchange for tips.

Twenty gamblers were arrested that, including four of the topless dealers; one of them was taken with absolutely no clothes on. They are now scheduled for a court appearance at Kentwood District Court on January 26 and they could get a maximum of 90 days in prison. The accused organizer of the game might not get off so easily.
